| Re: The Comprehensive Thread on the Tippmann LPK Wrote them myself, got this in return for all to see. Hi Josh, When I was building the Tippmann Effect markers a couple of years ago I tried a lot of different things with regs. To reliably get 300 fps I had to run the CP regs at 600 psi. What I do is make a delrin shim that goes in the spring stack to stiffen it up a little.Depending on the paint size you might get away with 550 psi, when I played indoor and the field speed was 250 I could get away with 450 psi. I have also had issues with the cyclone feeding below 450 psi. I have done several cyclone mods with the Tec-T parts and found they actually needed more pressure than the stock cyclone. As far as rates of fire and drop off I only use the Rampage boards on PSP mode which is 15 bps and I see no drop off at any of the pressures. I'm not going to say you can't run an A-5 at 400 psi but to do it you must get lucky and get receivers on the tight side and possibly shooting at lower velocity. Hope this helps. Thanks, Rick Lawler
