The break in period mostly affects how the recharge consistency is from what I understand.
When the o-rings are new, they need to wear down a little to be able to slide in the valve chamber smoothly enough to be quick and consistent.
So as long as you are shooting in semi, the reg should be pretty consistent without break in time.
Just what I have noticed with testing regs myself.
