I just noticed something... is that mask above a water dip paint job and not a standard paint job? I see the "Multicam" text in the camo pattern. That leads me to believe that it is not actually painted, but the water application "paint".

Now THAT is a whole lot easier (and MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH quicker) if that is how it is done.
