It has a definate positive effect on shot patterns, and also could be why I'm a bit more consistent than the normal marker. The lube I use on the back half is hoppes 9 gun oil... works great and it's similar to viscosity of the tippmann lube, but just a bit slicker. Blowback markers, are very finicky... and they are also the ones that respond best to tiny, minute things. This could very well be it.... never thought about it till now..... I got them both at MCSPORTS, and paid about 8 for the dry spray, and 5 for the gun oil. It works amazing, and the dry stuff never leaves residue or gumminess or any gunk.. I clean my marker every 2nd or 3rd time I use it, and I have yet to bust an o-ring or part in almost a year and a half now. |
Great tip on the teflon lube for the front bolt.
I'v been using Hoppe's #9 on the back also but have not seen it lately at the local Wallmart where I'v gotten #9 before. I
have seen and bought
"Hoppe's ELITE" Gun Oil however. Just wondering if you may know anything about it. Is it ok for o rings ect? Is it just an updated version of #9?
