As far as the "elite" gun oil, as long as it's designed for lubrication of the firing mechanisms of a firearm, it should be safe for the marker. Good test is to put a drop on your finger, squeeze it as hard as you can against your thumb... and if they still slide freely, then it's got a good viscosity.
