howdy, i hate to dispute you on the 98,but its as good as any blowback out there, granted, its a little tougher on the break down, the 98 s biggest set back at the time was upgradability, but as of late , upgrades are almost as plentiful as the a5, now back to the subject, times they are a changing, as we all know, the cost of everything has went up, included , but not limited to raw materials, i had an opportunity to handle a new a-5 a couple of weeks ago.
first thing i noticed was the packaging was a lot smaller, second thing the stock barrel had no porting, and last, but not least .the plastic rear site. now
the biggest differance was the price, i think john said he gave around $180.00.
now if those small details(who uses a stock barrel) help tippmann lower there price and still give me a solid product. i'm all for it...peace
