wear your cadpat outside of work man. |
Well the truth of the matter is, and this the law, "you are not allowed to wear, sell, or buy military issued ICE for none military use". Well the beauty is, mine is not military issued! As you know ICE (Genuine CADPAT) has four distinct features that the Frontenac or Parklands are not allowed to duplicate...
1. The fabric. It is not a standard two or three material composite. It is a fabric reserved for mil. use only.
2. All Canadian ICE (CADPAT) has a weaved maple leaf within the material. This shows it is genuine,
3. The special coatings on the fabric. I am no means an expert, but I hear there is a special IR coating.
4. Not allowed to have the high collar or velcro patches.(ICE CADPAT Only).
SO the answer to your underlying question, is, yes I wear CADPAT but it is not government issued and from a far, you would never know. For those fields that ban the use of CADPAT, real or fake, then you might as well ban MARPAT cause it is the same thing, just American owned, but based on the same principles.
