I'd have to say that i'd take the Bigshot over the FL, simply because I prefer the Apex to the FL. If you don't want the Apex engaged you simply set the slide switch to 0 and have your normal barrel mode.

Mind you, the FL does retail for more than the Bigshot so in trade terms, the FL is worth more. It all depends on what you want in the long run.
