Firstly, the fact that "peoples stuff was marked" isn't the issue here. This child could have been deafened, blinded or even killed if that paintball was an inch or two in any other direction. Forget the misdemeanor, how about manslaughter?
I'm sorry, but I just can't see the point in relaxing gun laws further. There are already tens of THOUSANDS of gun related deaths in the US every year.
And i'm pretty sure you don't have children. If you did, you wouldn't be saying things like "Why was the window down?" as if it was the mothers fault for wanting to have air circulating through the car.
I'm sorry for any offence, but things like this being said really lights my fire.
