That is correct. It would be the back half of the rail that would raise.

I'm also thinking of incorporating engraved tick marks for every degree of angle with larger ticks at every 5 degrees with an indicator so I know what angle it's at, at a glance. That way, I can know what distance I'm setting it for in a hurry.
