I agree. The Freak front has a far larger ID compared to the HH front. The .684 insert is as small as I can go with my current batch of visible impact and the HH front ID is
not larger enough to compensate for the non-concentric union. This produces a slight internal "step" where the two join when viewed from the
breech end. The "step" is very slight and is only about 100 degrees of the circumference inside the bore. Nonetheless, the ball is obviously catching on the step as it moves from the Freak insert into the HH front. That must be what was causing the barrel breaks. I think I'll try a complete HH kit as I'm told it is a super high quality kit.
