Will the A-5 powertube work in the X7?
|
Yes and no. Its the same, except the X7 powertube has two holes in the side, instead of one. After looking at the inside of the X7 receiver halves, there are two holes.
One is for the cyclone, and the other I assume is for an RT system. The two holes in the powertube allows better air flow into both these systems. This would appear to solve air starving issues that the A-5 faced when an RT was hooked up. I can't confirm this, but I'm pretty sure that this is the case.

Will the X7 rear bolt work on an A-5?
|
Yes. The X7 rear bolt is the new rear bolt that was previously released for the A-5. That rear bolt and insert can be found here:

Will A-5 triggers work on the X7, and X7 triggers on the A-5?
|
Single A-5 triggers would be to short, and you would literlly have a nub for a trigger. Double triggers would most likely work, but would only be slightly longer than the currect single trigger on the X7. To use an A-5 double trigger on the X7, a double trigger guard or no guard would be required.
The X7 single trigger would work on the A-5, but would be slightly longer than the single trigger on the A-5. In this case a double trigger guard or no guard would be required to use the X7 trigger on the A-5.
Some slight modification may be needed to get them to fit properly in both cases.

Close up of X7 trigger **UPDATE ON THIS QUESTION**
I place the X7 trigger into my A-5 grip with a double guard on. I had to fight to get the safety threw, but finally managed to. Regardless of where the safety was, the trigger would not move. Upon inspection, I noticed that the A-5 grip frame would need to be modified because of how the X7 trigger expands.
