If you want a more "milsim" option than the Tac8 or the stacked tube pistols like the Zeus, take a look at RAP4's .43 caliber pistols. You still may have the FPO issues, but they seem to be gaining acceptance more than the old 6mm paint. |
It's my understanding that the .43 cal paintballs need a velocity in the 350-400 fps range to perform properly. At those velocities they have about the same impact energy as a .68 traveling at 300 fps. Unfortunately most paintball fields still won't allow you to use them at those velocities, since their insurance specifies a set max fps which does not account for actual impact energy of the projectile.
