It's definitely a recharge issue. Below 70*F CO2 performs much worse than HPA. I've posted a chart several times in the past showing the pressure of CO2 at various temperatures. You should be able to find it with a search. But basically, at those temperatures CO2 is actually below the recomended operating pressure of an A-5. Try putting a chemical hot pack in the botom of your tank pouch before each game. Or you could buy/make a battery powered electric heater for your tank. That's how we handled lower temps back in the olden days before HPA was around.

Personally, I use the chemical hot packs because I can get them for free at work. Any time the temp is below 70*F I'll throw one under my tank before each game. Works great. CO2 is great for paintball, you just need to understand how it works and what its limitations are to take full advantage of it.
