SCUBA shops usually, but not always, have the compressors required to generate the high pressure of paintball tanks, but they don't always have the proper air fittings to do so. Some shops that are frequented enough by paintballers will simply buy the fittings to get a larger customer base. I have gone to one and they made me a deal that if I bought the adapters they would refill my tank for free since it was so much smaller than regular SCUBA tanks. But I also live fairly close to the SpecOps store and they refill for free.
