I am thinking about trading one of my minis for another A5 and making it into a .50 cal. I love the look but i wish the barrel stuck out a little bit further from the end of the shroud. The 18" A5 barrel is $80 on opsgear so i thought of something and saw an opertunity to save some money and make it look better. There is a 98 18" barrel that is exactly the same as the A5 one for $30 and i could get the 98 to A5 adapter for $15.

My question is, will the adapter make the barrel any longer? if not, is there another longer, cheap barrel that this: OPSGEAR can be mounted on the end?
