Re: Mask suggestions?

^I agree with Gotpaint92 regarding the masks. I have tried on all models that VForce has made, and I used to use the Vantage. I currently have a Profiler, and a Morph is on its way.

I even like the Grill; I hated it until I put it on, but VForce once again delivered.

I say your best bet, at least going with VForce, is the Morph. It provides signifigantly more protection than the Profiler, but still maintains good visibility.

If you decide on something besides VForce, I would start looking into the Proflex or the Flex 8, both made by JT. I personally feel not entire safe in a Proflex, but it definitely WILL bend. A word of advice, but from what I have seen and felt (in the store, so maybe someone first hand experience would be better), the Empire masks such as the Helix, Cylus, Avatar and Events are not overly bendable.

That being said, I also would not feel comfortable in anything but a VForce. However, regarding the Vantage, unless it is your first mask, it will probably be a step backward in terms of visibility and comfort.

When I get my CCI Phantom, hopefully soon, and start playing stock class, I may look into a new mask. I love the woods, but something about stock class in a speedball setting appeals to me; I may get a Dye Invision i3 Pro (or equivalent) to keep my head profile down. That would be a luxury item though, as I think my current masks are going to be more than adequate.

Final Verdict: Don't neccesarily buy a Morph, but at least try it on in the store if you can. Also, just because the VForce Shield is the same basic design, remember that the entirety of the Shield is made of harder plastic, where the Morph has the entire lower face part made of flexible rubber.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.
