How-To: E-Grip button

Man, were not playing paintball today, so we had to do something.

We got this Idea from someone here on the forum. He got a screw, and ground it down to size. I did a search to find out who did it, but couldnt find the thread. So, Kudos to you, whoever you are, for inspiring the idea. We simply took your design to an easier level.

EDIT: I have obtained information from DurtyDurnal that this mod may not work properly with the APE board switch.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

-1/8 in. rivet

-Grinder (saves time)

-File (for fine tuning or if you dont have a grinder)

-Utility knife or fine line marker

-Pliers, preferably locking pliers

-E-Grip (WAS or APE, NOT the DIAL SET. (D'Oh)

You want this part of the rivet:

WHAT TO DO:

First, split the E-Grip. then take the head off of the rivet.

Lay the rivet in the top slot, where the button is, and mark with a utility knife or a fine line marker.

Cut:

And line:

Then, lock the rivet in a pair of pliers, vice grips, or whatever other mangling device you have in that cluttered tool box of yours. Be CAREFUL NOT TO BEND THE RIVET!

Grind the rivet almost all the way down to the line. For those of you who dont have a grinder, take a seat and start filing away!

Then, use a file to fine tune.

Tada! all done!
