Now thats one of the simplest no-brain-er "why didn't I think of that" ideas I've seen in a while!

Probably it was just too cold and the cyclone broke em. I've heard some people fasten a hand warmer to the cyclone in real cold weather. Seemed to help. Maybe the X7 paddles might help too, they are softer.

You would also have to seal around the axle.
