Question Polish my internals yes or no???

Ok Iv been looking around on the forum and I keep seeing things about Polishing the internals of the A-5. Iv seen some things that say it can add fps and make your gun more efficient but is that true and also what are the risks of doing this if there are any and is it really worth it...

Re: Polish my internals yes or no???

There really are no risks involved unless you go after the receiver halves with a grinding wheel. All you are looking to do is remove the overspray from inside the marker and let the marker work easier. You can do this several ways. You do not need a mirror finish. Mainly you want a nice smooth finish to allow the bolts to move eaiser. Easier movement=efficiency. I gained about 15 fps. Best of all it is a free mod that you can easily do yourself. Some use fine sandpaper, brillo pad, steel wool, neverdull, or some other abrasive. Use what you have available and what you feel the most comfortable using.

Best mod you can do, GO FOR IT! Just make sure you use an sos soap pad with some running water in the sink. Get the overspray off and shine it up a little- she'll shoot smoother and faster.

Re: Polish my internals yes or no???

just make sure you don't take too much off. i kind of polished my internals with a dremel polishing wheel, all it really did was make it smoother.
