Re: third velocity screw that came out

No. Duct Tape won't hold 800 psi.

Re: third velocity screw that came out

Well the powertube wont exactly be holding 800 psi. it will get some of the blow by gases. The receivers would keep keep it from blowing. But just use the teflon tape to keep it from moving and use the RVA. Ductape will also make the powertube thicker so youll have a heck of a time getting it in, especially if you ahve the stock plastic powertube.

Re: third velocity screw that came out

no, no duct tape.

If thats the case then go to Ace Hardware or any hardware store and get a new velocity screw. But instead of getting one the same length, get one that is only 1/4" in length. This will allow you to set if flush inside the powertube and leave it there without having to take it in and our when field stripping the marker.

Re: third velocity screw that came out

Drop your velocity screw into the corner of a plastic sandwich bag and then screw it into your A-5. Then tear off the excess of the bag, and it does the same trick as the teflon tape.

Re: third velocity screw that came out

Why is it so far out to start with? If you have to screw your velocity out that far to get a good shot. You need to replace your main spring, that way you wouldn't need to have your velocity screw that far out..

I would be against locktight or anything like that unless you NEVER want to change or take it apart ever again, locktight + plastic on metal = crackage and breakage.. If you have to use something, use teflon tape..

Re: third velocity screw that came out

I have teflon tape on mine and it works fine, my velocity never changed (they checked every time you entered the field) for a 10hr scenario game
