Stabilizer PSI Gauge

What PSI Gauge do you use with your Stabilizer?

600 PSI, 1200 PSI, any other?

I know most have/use around 575-600 psi with their Stabilizer so I am not sure what gauge to get? Any thoughts?

Thanks

Re: Stabilizer PSI Gauge

I use the 1200 gauge.

The range of your tank is going to be 0-850 and if you are using Co2, that can be even higher if its hot outside. A gauge that's reading off the chart isn't very useful is it?

Re: Stabilizer PSI Gauge

Thanks Millslane,
I have ordered a Black Inline Stabilizer to connect to the tank side of my remote with a 1200 psi gauge.

Thanks for the input!

Re: Stabilizer PSI Gauge

A rule of thumb for gauges is you want your most common reading to be in the middle of the gauge. That is where the gauge is most accurate.

Re: Stabilizer PSI Gauge

Interesting. So with an LPK you might consider a 0-600psi gauge? I had my A5 running at 400 to 425 psi this afternoon and the 0-1200psi gauge seemed fine.

Re: Stabilizer PSI Gauge

I think either one could be suggested for that PSI range. If you were running something at 300 psi then absolutely yes. 400 is on the upper third of a 600 psi gauge and on the lower third on a 1200 psi gauge. I don't see a difference between the two.

Re: Stabilizer PSI Gauge

The lower psi gauge in that instance will be more accurate in its reading. I'm not saying a 1200 psi will not work, I'm saying it will not be as accurate.
