Re: can't get high enough velocity, yes i know, there are other threads like this. could it be that my front bolt o-ring is flat in the bolt instead of it sticking out a little? and i am getting new springs tomarrow

No. Something this bad, sounds like a valve problem. Air is definately escaping somewhere in a big way. The two most likely culprits would be valve and rear bolt orings. Change the orings, then try a drive spring, then the valve spring.

It will be tight. I usually tap the bottom of the power tube against a counter or something to jolt the valve down enough to get my fingers in and pull.

Re: can't get high enough velocity, yes i know, there are other threads like this. but this thing is really jammed in there! should the flat metal disk in the back be about a half inch in the tube with a metal pin sticking out?

Yep. And by tight, I mean really tight.

Re: can't get high enough velocity, yes i know, there are other threads like this. put some oil in it, stick a pencil (eraser side in) in the tube end, and tap (smash?) the valve out. to increase velocity, use 1 or 2 bb's behind the rear velocity spring in the plastic valve bolt plug. also, you could try to grease all the o rings through out the gun. (back plate, tombstone, etc etc just to try to make sure no leaks exist. one other thing, the velocity screw when it is turned all the way in, has minimum velocity. as you turn it out, it will increase velocity until the inside of the plug is even with the inside of the tube, as you continue to unscrew, it will lower the velocity again. you could try to go to nappa auto parts and get a 1/2 size bolt(plug), then disassemble and plug the hole. with the marker dissassembled, you can be sure to position the screw to just block the hole, offering max fps.
