can't get high enough velocity, yes i know, there are other threads like this.
alright, i have been playin games with my A5 on the velocity of 200 fps and it isn't good, i shoot at someone and they can practiclly catch the paint! i chronoed at 205-10 with the volecity screw all the way out with HPA. i fired it with Co2 in my backyard and it seemed to shoot a little faster but didn't look fast enough. i sent tippmann an email and this is what they said...

The co2 will give it slightly more pressure than hpa. The marker may just need cleaned, new o-rings and drive spring and oiled to get the proper velocity. The x-7 valve does give the marker more air pressure but it shouldn’t be necessary for the a-5, plus it is around $30.00 to replace.

stock internals also!

Try a different drive spring if you can,a red one if possible.if you don't have a red drive spring you can try and strech the stock one and see if it helps.I would assume you have a clean and oiled marker correct?I had an issue with my velocity when i switched to hpa and a new drive spring took care of it.

yes i clean my marker and oil it, duh! im on this site, i think i should know . i just took the A5 apart, i think that i am going to repolish my internals because i guess i took the half *butted* way and just buffed it . i don't see a cracked tube or any thing.

My first guess would be drive spring.

Haha ive tryed catching paintballs in a game before....unless they are crazy longballs and are coming reeeallly slow youll be out and have a sore hand.....

As for the topic....i have no clue really...i just bring it into the shop and get her fixed....

You could also try a JCS Red hot power tube. It gave me a huge increase and more adjustability than the stock tube.

what i am really trying to find out is, what is wrong with it? i think i read that some A5's were milled not perfectlly maybe?
