| Re: Pictures of A5 Internals First, thanks for your pictures of your A5's internals. I still have a question regarding the Vavle O-ring mentionned: I just got my A5, and when I tried to screw in my air tank directly to the tombstone's ASA, I noticed a faint hissing rom a leak that seemed to come from this tombstone. I also noticed that while the pin and latch were in place, I could still move a little bit the tombstone adapter in its socket. After looking around on the net, I stumbled on these pictures, and saw that you mentionned the valve O-ring, but do not actually show it. Could you please have a look at the picture and and tell me if the translucid/yellowish rubber looking think that I see is on the very botom iof the picture is indeed the O-ring, or if I'm missing something? ![]() The Tippmann's diagrams aren't to clear where this o-ring is and where the vavle washer itslef is. |

| Re: Pictures of A5 Internals /\/\/\ That just became my new wallpaper, and might become an avatar...... The bottom o-ring is for the tombstone/ valve. Put the valve in place in the marker, then install the washer threw the tombstone hole. Then add the o-ring. Then install the tombstone. A little oil in there should help seal it all up. |

| Re: Pictures of A5 Internals Thanks for your answer. Sicne I posted, I had time to field test my A-5, so here's some follow-up on my "story": In normal configuration, i.e. with the tank screwed on the ASA, and from there the bottom line into the tombstone adapter, everything worked fine. I was able to play for three days without any leak or anything. Only time I could hear something was when my tank was so empty it wouldn't even cock => I'm not sure if the leak was because of teh rear bolt pressing against the valve or my tombstone playing tricks on me! As for your explanation, does that mean that the washer and the o-ring both have to go in the tombstone's vavle slot, and thus are accessed without opening the valve itself? From looking at the schematics, I htought that the washer was *inside* the valve and the valve spring was sitting against it. Obviously I was wrong, do you confirm? |

No you were correct, washer first (inside holding the spring) then the oring (seals the tombstone). |

i just finished polishing my internals. up until now ive had no idea what was inside this a5 making it fire paintballs. i thought it would be very complicated when in fact, tippmann made it very simple and to the point. ^^^that was said to me when i made my first post on here and now i have the liberty to say OOOOOO ![]() |
