powertube blowing up

well not literally but everytime i air up my gun the valve assembly blows apart and this is with the tombstone in place the tombstone is driven far enuff forward so the gun just sits there and leaks off air

my guess is that the valve front o-ring needs to be replaced what i am wondering is if anyone knows the exact size of the o-ring as i think mine has stretched so a side by side wont do I am hoping i can find one in the local hardware store vs going thru the local paintball shop and buying an 0-ring kit as he tends to overcharge for that sort of stuff

if someone can think of anything else that might be causing this please post. Prior to it actually blowing apart all it was doing was acting as if my gun had no air would just go into rapid fire not giving enuff air to recock the gun

Re: powertube blowing up

it is an older gun that was bought used

when it is leaking it is defintly out the barrel

but prior to this blowing apart thing everytime it gets air it was jsut firing down

edit: actually now that i think about it u know how they act when u usually forget to cock them prior to air jsut kinda half fire well mine would jsut start leaking out the barrel

Re: powertube blowing up

sounds like your washer might be missing from the valve or your valve o ring is toast. Try replacing the valve o ring and double check to see if the washer still there.

Re: powertube blowing up

Replace the o-ring. If that don't work, replace the washer. If that don't work...whole new valve.

Re: powertube blowing up

Tippmann parts .com has all of these parts relatively low cost as well.
