Re: What Bolt?

My 5 buddies and I all use the DOP w/front seal. No complaints, leaks, or blow-by.

Re: What Bolt?

I recently had to shell out $40 for a new Powertube (Dead On Metal Powertube) The bolt that came with it is pretty slick, and gives my A5 a definite different sound from the others that I like. Other than that so far I have seen no differences.

Re: What Bolt?

I have noticed no difference with my shocktech bolt, even with the extra o ring, still no change in air efficiency.

I can't say I hate it though

Re: What Bolt?

What? Stock bolt not an option?

These after market bolts don't do anything, I bought about 3 diffrent ones in my time and not one of them made any diffrence over the stock bolt..

Not in aim, not in chopps not in air consumption..
They are a money grab..

Keep your stock bolt and your money..

Thumbs up Re: What Bolt?

Oops, Sorry! If you think that the stock bolt is best, please just say so and why.

Re: What Bolt?

Howitzer Orange Bolt for me, Since I put it in I noticed A. Much Smoother Action, and B. More consistency as the Bolt has an internal O-ring to keep the bolt both in-line and pressure more evenly distributed.

Re: What Bolt?

I have the JCS, as that's what came with my powertubes. I doubt it makes much of a difference, if any. The powertube, on the other hand....

Re: What Bolt?

I like the NEW DESIGNS (NDZ) gold power tube and bolt. (w/ internal "O" ring) The tube has a slightly greater outside diameter on the last 1/2 inch or so. This allows for a very good air seal when the front bolt is fully extended yet allows for a very smooth forward slide to that point.
