Re: What Bolt?

I wouldn't replace it unless it breaks. Even then you can get a free stock bolt from Tippmann just by calling them.

Re: What Bolt?

I noticed that the stock and DOP front bolts have a tapered bore while the JCS Hex is straight. Honestly, the only difference I can see between the DOP and stock bolt is the size of the o-ring.

Re: What Bolt?

I have the DOP proseal which is the entire unit of the power tube and bolt. I have had no problems with it and I have had better shot on shot groupings since installing it.

Re: What Bolt?

agreed, dop is tapered, and the back end is teflon for smoothness to go along with the tight seal. This really did show a bit of difference. the biggest thing is using ur gear enough to tell a difference. 13 cases of paint, not 1 break, and accuracy with a flatline that can be comparable to any other barrel.

Re: What Bolt?

Rufus Dawg wicked bolt for me... I've put them in 3 markers and I have not chopped a ball yet inside the marker!!! I first used one in my X7 and it worked so good that I ordered 2 more for my A5's... They work great!!!

Re: What Bolt?

Nothing wrong with the stock bolt unless you are intending to use CO2 and full auto a lot. Then you would want an all aluminum bolt. There used to be a test thread where somebody tested a lot of different bolts for the A5 in a laboratory (university, on weekends, with permission). The differences between the best bolt and the stock bolt for group size/accuracy and air efficiency was so small as to not be worth the money.

Too many of you guys are reading the speedball magazines and think it applies to the A5. It doesn't in almost all cases. Save your money towards an upgrade that matters - the Palmers Stabilizer. Money well spent, especially if you can only use CO2. It also works on HPA.
