Re: Titanium Rear Bolt

I contacted Eric and asked them about titanium bolt and got the same reply. Using the APE response listed before, I told Eric what their response was and this is what their reply was:
On our web site we say the titanium hammer is not recommended for guns with the e-grip. This has to apply to all e-grips from the beginning . . . Even though Tippmann has addressed the dwell problem, we still must make the recommendation because we don't know what e-grip the potential user has.

We have some e-grip users who have very positive results using the Rampage after-market board.
Sounds good to me!

Re: Titanium Rear Bolt

same here but...I just got reading reviews on the titanium hammer on pbreview.com and it doesnt look so hot. they are saying you need a low pressure kits, and you would have to be crazy to use C02 with it. and all this other stuff. check it out and see what you guys think. because honestly i think it would be fine...
also. where could I find the new a-5 rear bolt? because if its even lighter then the titanium then I would like to check it out.

Re: Titanium Rear Bolt

Well, i installed a titanium rear bolt the one you can get from the mods offered here at a5 net. from dark horrisons, it is lighter than the original bolt, for sure. I previously polished my internals of my a5's frame, and so far the gun seems to work just fine, I am rolling with a rt and some other mods that i don't think would be affected by the titanium rear bolt. I do have some issues with my cyclone, ie. doesn't cycle every time but it seems to be latter after a game or two with a full co2 tank. but i am switching to air soon. and tht will be a good thing. as for the bolt it does what it should, i should mention that along with the pollished internals, I am using a red hot power tube as well, don't know if that has any thing to do with my success. do you think the the titanium bolt could be affecting my cyclone nt getting enough co2, i doubt it.

Re: Titanium Rear Bolt

I doubt it also. it doesnt sound like a huge problem it its only missing 1 or 2 shots. so i wouldnt worry too much about it. because typically things get worse when I worry about them too much. lol but now I need to decide between the titanium rear bolt and the new rear bolt of tippmanns. tippmanns is definitely cheaper. also iv read some reviews saying how their stocks flew off their guns when they switched to the new tippmann rear bolt. i guess because the bolt is longer causing more tension on the spring. so then I would probly have to get a mad man spring kit and work with it some. I'm not sure...

Re: Titanium Rear Bolt

I'd like to know how much the titanium bolt weighs compared to the newer A5 bolts as well as the LPK bolts.

Re: Titanium Rear Bolt

See, I was interested in that titanium bolt as well, but when they gave me that BS explanation as to why it has problems with the Egrip, I started smelling something fishy.... SO I decided just to polish up the stock rear bolt.

I'd be nervous that the lighter hammer would not engage the pin in the valve enough to sustain high rates of fire.
