Re: Cannot shoot over 250

Last time I played it was 70 degrees out. It actually started after I polished.

BB has never crossed my mind, I'll try that.

Hi Jaron, could you expound on the importance and difference of the above choices? Thank you.

Different springs have different tensions. This determines how hard the hammer is driven forward and how long it keeps the valve open. Generally stiffer springs keep the valve open longer and release more air which accelerates the ball faster leading to higher muzzle velocities ( and vice versa. )

An RVA uses a screw to adjust the length of a single spring which of course changes the tension. For those that either don't want or can't get an RVA, a spring kit includes multiple springs, all of which have different strengths, which can be swapped out.

Re: Cannot shoot over 250

Thank you for elaborating. I have just ordered a new stock drive spring because of the same issue (won't go above 200fps) and wanted to know what to expect. Thanks again, Jaron!

Re: Cannot shoot over 250

i had a a5 as well most i could was 230 fps . tryed spring , tryed a new front bolt , new valve body and valve . and same results . so i started reading and seen this bb mod . this marker had a car stock on it . i added 2 bb in the car stock hole spring and it went to 305 fps .
now i adjusted the volicity screw and have 270 fps with the flatline and working great .
still have the WAS board problems . set it on bust or full auto and it will rapid fire on it own when u pull the trigger . in semi mode works just fine .
off to the trigger threads on fixing this .
thanks for having such great info here

Re: Cannot shoot over 250

Your WAS problem with the egrip is called RUNAWAY FIRING and this is caused by either the sear or hammer being worn out. Check both and change whichever one needs replacing.

Re: Cannot shoot over 250

Runaway firing may not always be caused by a worn sear or bolt. You may need to adjust the Debounce of your board, or bend the microswitch.

I can't believe someone actually asked him to talk more.

J/k, Jaron. Great advice.
