Grrr Re: Scientific side by side comparison of leading aftermarket front bolts for the A-5!

just wanted everyone to here this, the star fire front bolt is junk the reason i say this is because if you have seen or owned one you have noticed the o-ring on it sits back about a half inch from the front of the bolt insted of just one eighth of an inch like the stock bolt this is a crap design for two reasons. one the o-ring will not seal in the chamber because when the bolt is in the forward position the oring is still sitting in the feed hole . [you can see the o-ring through the feed hole in the side of the marker]two, you lose velocity and air effecency. i just had to get that off my mind

I have the DOP Pro Seal and will be using it in the next few weeks at an all day game. Will keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary. -- I like to tinker...if you couldn't tell from My Marker Setup.

Whats up guys. Used the JCS Red with their front bolt this past weekend(liberty big game ny) went through 4500 balls NO BREAKAGE. the thing was loud as hell, but worked flawlessly. Stuff like this is subjective. I am sure the Balls play a HUGE roll in this.

Thanks. The install was a piece of cake of course. The components feel "slicker" as I move them by hand than the stock parts. It is likely the materials having less friction. There's a quick teaser and first impression.

I liked the quality of the unit.

Re: Scientific side by side comparison of leading aftermarket front bolts for the A-5!

i bought the rufus dog wicked bolt, i have found it to work very well it seems to slide much asyer throught the chamber plus i like that it has a ventury front end the only thing i did not like about it was the false advertisement about it haveing a flexable rear seal but im not sure if a rear seal makes alot of difference , i think a rear seal on it would create more friction and slow down the performance. i beleave most of the after market front bolts are just hype and are not even as good as stock but the wicked bolt is a decent one

No, they still carry it. Their website is down at the moment, but when it comes back up, try:

http://www.deadonpaintball.com/DEADO...p?ic=A5PROSEAL

It was there the other day when I looked it up too. I have one on my marker and I can see a difference. It's not huge, but every bit helps and adds up.

Re: Scientific side by side comparison of leading aftermarket front bolts for the A-5!

Their website is back up. The A5PROSEAL is a pretty good product. It is the seal and bolt. The picture only shows the power tube but it does come with the power tube and the front bolt (delrin) too.

I've heard that TechT might be coming out with something for the internals of the A5. I'm not sure though. It might be worth waiting to see what comes out in the near future.

Pissed! Re: Scientific side by side comparison of leading aftermarket front bolts for the A-5!

Can I just get the bolt? I dont want the tube. Its louder is it not? I'm not interested if its louder.

See, this is why I pray to God that TechT comes out with a bolt and a power tube. They rocked with the Votex and the Lightening Rod, it was a well designed and well thought product, it was one of the absolutly best product ever designed for the A-5. I hope they do the same with a bolt and powertube, cause I think the market is really needing it. Particularly a powertube because theres really no tube out there that "sniper friendly". All these others just really arent that better the stock. Yeah I go off a little on this subject.
