What parts should I lubricate in my A-5?

What are all parts should I lubricate in my A-5 to keep it healthy? Keep in mind that I'm pretty noobish and all so if there are any terms that you'd think a noob wouldn't understand, try to make them clear.

Thanks for your time,

Tippmann Lover

Re: What parts should I lubricate in my A-5?

The ASA (air source adapter) is the threaded part at the bottom of the grip that the tank (or quick disconnect nipple) screws in to.

Dry fire the oil through the marker with the barrel off before slinging paint through it to avoid getting oil in the barrel (paint and oil in the barrel is a bad combination, accuracy-wise).

Also, there are no stupid/"retarded" questions. We don't judge people for what they do not know here. We all were newbies at some point and none of us forget that.

Oh okay. Well where would I apply the lubricant to it?

Thanks...

Re: What parts should I lubricate in my A-5?

Just remove the tank or remote nipple and squeeze a few drops where the tank threads into. Reattach the tank and dry fire it a few times to spread the oil inside. Also remove the barrel to oil does not get inside of it.

Re: What parts should I lubricate in my A-5?

If you look inside of the ASA, there is a little hole where the air enters the hose that leads to the marker. Just drop a bit of oil in there and it will get cucrculated through the internals.

Edit: Beat to it. Good luck

Re: What parts should I lubricate in my A-5?

I usually drop between 3-5 drops of oil in the ASA hole.... Grease the cyclone [I use white lithium grease] ratchet. Between ratchet and axle, ratchet and bottom plate, ratchet and piston rod.

Re: What parts should I lubricate in my A-5?

oo crap x-(. i was just lubing up my cyclone and somehow i pulled something and i was sitting there working with it for like an hour trying to get the back back onto it but something was pulled or something. finally i was able to force the lid back onto it and screw it back on and then force it back onto the side of the gun. now you can tell that something is on crooked. i will post pics later but advice would be appreciated. but please note that i have taken the bottom off the cyclone several times before and nothing bad has happened. so i know that something happened wrong.

thanks.

**UPATE:**

I think I fixed it and everything is fine now.
