Rear bolt o-ring too big?

I've been noticing that my rear bolt o-rings are always loose. I always thought the o-rings should be snug. At first, I thought it was just my o-ring going bad or my rear bolt being out of spec, so I got the new bolt and put a new o-ring on it and I've got the same problem. I then tried putting a different o-ring on, thinking maybe I just put on a bad one, and same thing. I double checked, I am putting the correct o-rings on. None of my other ones will fit the rear bolt.

Is this normal?

define loose....loose enought to slide off or loose enough to just rotate in its groove ?

Re: Rear bolt o-ring too big?

I would say it's loose enough to wiggle around in the groove but not enough to come off.

Re: Rear bolt o-ring too big?

I believe thats normal. As long as it doesnt snag on the powertube when it rides in I think you should be ok. Keep it well oiled though !
