Best spring kit and RVA?

Two questions in 1 post (conserving thread space)

1) Is there a big difference between the available spring kits? I'd like to get the best one possible if there is a difference. Suggestions?

FYI I plan on eventually getting a JCS gold powertube (no FVA) and an RVA

2) What is the best RVA? I read that the DOP RVA has problems loosening over time. Any suggestions?

Re: Best spring kit and RVA?

DOP does not loosen if you use it correctly. I have one. There is a second screw that digs in to the main one, and holds it right in place. It will not slip.

As for spring kits, I would get the BT. It has 5 different color coded springs.

Re: Best spring kit and RVA?

I have had both the DOP and JCS. The JCS is FAR superior in it's build quality and function. Plus it looks nicer.

From what I've gathered by searching, the BT springs are not very good. It sounds like the Trinity and Maddman spring kits are the best. I think the Trinity set comes with one more spring setting but beyond that, I don't know what the differences are.

Re: Best spring kit and RVA?

Well, I must say JCS makes great stuff. Never owned one of their RVAs. And as for springs, I really don't see how you can mess them up. But I've never really put them to the test.

Re: Best spring kit and RVA?

Okay. Thanks for the responses. I figured about as much with the spring kits. I was just checking to make sure.

Also, I'll probably go with the JCS RVA because just from the pictures, it looked to be of very good quality.

Re: Best spring kit and RVA?

I have heard lots of bad things about the trinity spring kit, not being the right size, tension and etc... plus their customer service is horrible

Re: Best spring kit and RVA?

ya there is a thread on x7og about how everyone encourages you to boycott their products for many reasons. On the side note I just got a JCS rva, havent been able to try it out and I have a BT spring kit coming
