| Re: Stabilizer Welcome to A5OG! Are you using CO2 or HPA? If using CO2, it will help maintain consistency. I don't think it will help with accuracy. The PPS stab has one of the best recharge rates around for a regulator and one of the most cosistent, once broken in. The stablizer is more for keeping the same consistency from shot to shot. When using one on my A5, I was able to maintain a +/- 5 fps across the chrono. I guess if you are having velocity issues affecting your accuracy, then yes the stab would help. If using HPA, the consistency is not that big of an issuse if using a good reg on your HPA bottle. Do you have a stock on your marker? Maybe you do not have a steady shooting platform during full auto bursts. Last edited by simmy952 : 06-16-2008 at 06:18 AM. |

| Re: Stabilizer Hi, and thank you! I'm using HPA, running from a Stako 1.1Ltr 4500PSI tank, and running a ICP B5 A5 mod, so i have a stock aswell. It feels stable when firing from crouched position. The accuracy issue could come from somewhere else, like the barrel. Which is a J&J Ceramic 14", but I've heard these are pretty decent. I'm also running an Apex tip on this. During full auto bursts, it seems I have to arch shots more than during semi firing mode, and this is why I suspected a pressure issue. I'll do some more testing this weekend, and let you know!

| Re: Stabilizer Most likely is due to the barrel which is not bad, JJ is a very good barrel but you might want to try something different to get to where you want. Not to mention the APEX tip is not helping you with accuracy at all, remember APEX and Flatline are for distances not accuracy ;-) |

| Re: Stabilizer I wouldn't blame it on the barrel because that has nothing to with it changing from semi to auto firing. I would say your tanks reg doesn't have a good recharge rate. Go find another marker that shoots at a high ROF and try it. If it's a spacegun it may not do it because the operating pressure is so low. May I suggest replacing it with a Myth reg? They are very cheap, small, light, high quality regs. Best reg out there IMHO.

| Re: Stabilizer I'm changing directions here and going to offer some slightly different advice. While a good barrel, stabilizer and all that stuff will help, most people loose accuracy when going full auto no matter what, more so when shooting a tippmann. They are clunky and there is a little kick in them, when you go pull auto, the marker moves more than you realize, thats where your inaccuracy comes from. I'm afarid that if you spend $200 o new parts, install them and go play, you won't notice any difference and come back asking what happened. All it takes it the barrel to move a 1/2 inch left, right, up or down and over the distance of 100 feet, its going to look like its inaccurate when really, you are unable to hold your marker steady. Thats why its ful auto though, accuracy by volume right? As far as the drop off, its possible that your tank reg cannot keep up. I would go to a local shop and ask it you can test one of their spare tanks to see that corrects that problem. |

Ah your idea for testing is much better than mine... ![]()
