Black Trinity metal powertube?

Hey all do any of you own the Black metal power tube by trinity? I have one in my A-5 and it seems to work fine. So here is my problem for you to chew on. The little white plactic set screw in it, what does it do? I noticed that I may have had it screwed in a bit to far and my V-screw cut threads in it. How far should it be screwed in? I dont really see what it's function is. I work in a metal fad shop and we use poly-pro set screws lots and it usualy has a function that is plan to see. Little help and advice would be great. Thanks.

Re: Black Trinity metal powertube?

It doesn't really have a function in the A-5. Most aftermarket powertubes don't have them.

Re: Black Trinity metal powertube?

So I am ok if I back it off a bit so I dont have to worry about cross threading it or boogering it up at the base when I adjust my V-screw? Thanks for your input.

Re: Black Trinity metal powertube?

Its for applying pressure on the v screw this way it will not back out from the vibrations when firing the a5...

You're talking about that screw shown at the top? That's just there to help secure your FVA.

Re: Black Trinity metal powertube?

Thanks Guys! Yes the small set screw on top that would be the on. So yes I guess it would be wise to run it in enough so it does allow the fva threads to touch it ,right?
