wore out rear bolt

After 3+ years of RT goodness I have finally wore out my rear bolt and sear. What is the best way to go about replacing it? Send it to Tippmann or order one from another retailer?

Re: wore out rear bolt

if you want to spend $60, a company makes an aftermarket bolt, but Tippmann will probably fix free of charge.

Re: wore out rear bolt

Make sure to replace both at the same time. I know that one company makes a Titanium rear bolt, if you want an aftermarket part...

Contact Tippmann and see what they're willing to do for you.

Also, if you're interested in just ordering a replacement part, check out the A5 replacement parts section on tippmannparts.com

Re: wore out rear bolt

Polish your internals and you shouldn't have the issue of wear anymore. I even went as far as surface polishing my hammer. 25+ cases of paint, a season and a half of constant weekend use (with an e-grip on r/t @ 17bps), and haven't replaced an o-ring, or had any visible wear yet. But yes, tippmann should help your out, and something like a hammer, stick with the factory on that one, as it's probably the most important moving component on the marker.

This makes me think you emailed them. I'd recommend calling, as that's the one area Tippmann's not very good at. Their email agents have a terrible turn-around time, if they respond at all.
