Did anyoen else know this about aftermarket springs?

So I had bought the Madmann spring kit for my A5 to get more velocity. Ordered it, it didn't do a WHOLE lot but it did ok. I went to the store today to look at other springs and the BT series caught my eye... The red spring (strongest) compared to the red spring of the madmann (strongest) is kind of weird. The Madmann is about 1mm shorter in diameter and about 3cm shorter than the BT spring.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a reason for this?

Sorry for the mispell in the title as well.

Don't know anything about the length but have heard that the BT springs are all the same springs; just colored differently. I would avoid them and either try the Maddmann or Trinity. I have both and they affected my velocity a lot. There was a length difference between them, too.

too the contrary, I've had the BT spring set for a few months and the are not all the same, all are slightly different lengths and also have a difference in diamater. as in coil size. all in all ,i give the BT spring kit an a+.

you also have to remember that not all a-5s will respond to spring kits in the same manner, I've seen brand new a-5s, right out of the box, using stock springs with velocity well over 300, and I've seen new ones ,barely break 240.If the new red spring has mixed results, you may want to try adding a bb ,into your stock or end cap. peace

Yeah, I had been doing that. I just bought some bb's that fit the chamber and dug out the 1/4 inch of wadded paper I had down there.. I think I am going to start with the medium spring and work up to where the gun had problems recocking itself so I don't ruin the spring I really need.
