Drop forward issue

I have an adapter so the drop forward attaches to the receiver without any problem but I can't figure out what i need to attach the gas line/tank to the drop forward

Re: Drop forward issue

Damn it jhall, I wanted to do that.

I assume you did not get a Shocktech relocator. If you did, then disregard this. If the bottom of your drop forward is flat, you will need an ASA which has a rail (I recommend a CP On/Off or any ASA with an on/off/bleed for that matter. This ASA will attach to your drop.

You will also require air fittings for either macroline or stainless steel line. Depending on the ASA itself and how you wish the line to be routed, you will need 90-degree fittings as well as straight fittings for macroline. I can't give you more detailed lists because I've no pics to work with. Pics will help greatly.

Re: Drop forward issue

I picked up an Empire on/off asa which solved the problem but I can't get the elbow off the tank adapter

Re: Drop forward issue

Heating it will help. Use a hairdryer on its hottest possible setting and go at it with a pair of pliers. If you can use a bench vice, put the ASA in that, otherwise use a pair of vicegrips to hold it steady.

Remember to use teflon tape when you reattach the fitting to the Empire ASA.

Re: Drop forward issue

Put the asa in a vise. Find the longest adjustable wrench you have. Get a heat gun. Heat the black ASA trying not to heat the elbow. If you do a little not a big deal. Get the ASA good and hot. Put a couple drop of water on the elbow near the threads. Use every manly muscle in your body and twist counter clockwise.
