or you can get the gold one and adjust your velocity with a regulator, if you have one.

Check the right receiver before you do anything else. Have you got two holes for banjo fittings, or only one?

If you have two, that's the newer design, like I have, and you don't need a T-fitting but instead a normal banjo fitting.

Re: Does an R/T hole in a Powertube matter for non R/T users?

From the looks of it I just have the one going into the cyclone. I don't have an RVA yet but I am going to buy a JCS stock with RVA as well as the gold power tube. I have the red power tube now, I bought it a while ago so I don't know if it has the R/T hole or not. That and I can't find it to use it...

do you have the cyclone connected to the powertube? the hole that connects to the fitting(which connects to the hose) is the tap or "RT hole."

if your cyclone has been working with the RED powertube, it has the the "RT hole." i wouldn't recommend you to get the gold one because you already have a red one and they are both good.

Well I am switching to RVA, so I don't want to be screwing around with FVA. That and I can't find my red tube... Hookups for the cyclone? Wah? My cyclone hose just hooks into the receiver and there is a hole there looking from the inside. Nothing hooks up to it inside the gun. Yes, the cyclone was working when I had the red tube installed.

The gold tube with cyclone/rt hole is what you want then. The newer gold members have 2 holes that match the newer a5 receivers but according to jcs it should still work with the older single output receivers as well. I wasnt willing to take the chance that they were wrong so I found someone selling the older style gold member with the single output hole.

I installed an Dead On powertube on my 98 and had nothing but issues with it. Everything I have since read on the Tippmann forum basically says aftermarket powertubes are a waste of money where you will not see any significant increases in performance or reliability and in some cases actually see a reduction. Worth considering.

Well my main motivation in getting the gold PT is getting rid of FVA. Just ordered that and my JCS RVA stock today. I agree in the terms that performance wise, they offer very little. But I'm not scientist.

LOL. I guess I won't mention how much I dislike the JCS stock I have either.
