Does an R/T hole in a Powertube matter for non R/T users?

I've searched through on the forums and have just found that some old JCS powertubes don't have the R/T holes and the new ones do. I want to get a gold tube but it says it has an R/T hole. There is a Silver Tube with RVA and no R/T hole. Just wondering if there would be problems if I got the Gold tube and I am not using R/T. I plan on going R/T in the future so I am just thinking on getting the Gold tube to save money. I am going through JCS btw.

Yes it does affect you if you use a cyclone. The RT uses the saime air line as the cyclone, the fitting is just replaced with a T instead of an L....So, unless you used a Qloader....or some other magical device...then you would have to stick with one that HAS an RT hole

You mean one that doesn't have an R/T hole since I am not using the R/T atm?

No sir, The "RT" hole also runs the cyclone, so as long as youre using that then you need one WITH the hole....

Youre wrong paintballin27.... He NEEDS THE ONE WITH RT HOLE IF HE HAS A CYCLONE, its the same hole to the best of my knowledge....Therefore he wouldnt have any air making his cyclone cycle....

Re: Does an R/T hole in a Powertube matter for non R/T users?

obviously, he says it comes with an RT hole. he is wondering if it will work even if he doesn't have an RT. it will since the cyclone receives air out of the same port. so, your wrong, re-read the OP and you will see.

rahlcepx516, get the gold powertube if you want. the silver powertube will not work for you though.

Lol my bad, but i proved my point that he needs one WITH an rt hole...i thought he was asking if he needed the gold powertube.....I was using reverse psychology

Re: Does an R/T hole in a Powertube matter for non R/T users?

The "R/T Hole" is the port on the right hand side of the A-5 the operates the Cyclone & will also operate a R/T IF you have one install with a "T" fitting. If you use the Cyclone on your A-5, then you NEED what JCS calls the "R/T Hole". The only two Power Tubes that meet this qualification are the Red Hot Power Tube, and the Gold Power Tube. The next thing we need to know is if you have a RVA(rear velocity adjuster)? If so, then you can get the Gold Power Tube like this one HERE. If you only have a FVA(forward velocity adjuster) then you will need to get the Red Hot Power Tube like this one HERE.
