| Total Valve Maintenance v2 Due to Huge request I am posting a complete step by step how to on valve maintenance. I do this complete tear down after each game. I play hard and I expect my gear to keep up with me, by doing this I know that my marker is preforming at 110% at all times. So grab a seat and enjoy the ride. If you have any questions I will try to answer as soon as I can. Here are the tools that I use: Pure Marker Lube Multi-Tool Right now just using the flat head screwdriver part Pure Clean Marker Cleaner cotton swabs 909d1223347020-total-valve-maintenance-1.jpg My current Power Tube is a JCS Red Hot. I dont remove my FVA because it is already set to proper velocity and is secure with loctite 910d1223347150-total-valve-maintenance-2.jpg I take my flathead and stick it in the power tube pushing the valve out. 916d1223348044-total-valve-maintenance-3.jpg You can see the valve stem and the oring of the valve. Just grab it with your fingers and push it out. 917d1223348071-total-valve-maintenance-4.jpg This is what it should look like once the valve is removed from the power tube. 918d1223348081-total-valve-maintenance-5.jpg Last edited by Pure Excess Industries : 10-07-2008 at 12:27 PM. |

| Re: Total Valve Maintenance v2 close up of the valve. 919d1223348097-total-valve-maintenance-6.jpg With your thumb push on the valve stem and the internals should pop out. 920d1223348108-total-valve-maintenance-7.jpg Here is the exploded view of the valve internals Valve - oring - washer - valve stem - spring - washer - oring 921d1223348432-total-valve-maintenance-8.jpg I soak them for a few seconds in a tube of warm water and Pure Clean Marker Cleaner. I then wash each part thoroughly. 922d1223348556-total-valve-maintenance-9.jpg I clean the inside of the valve with cotton swabs making sure I clean all the hard to reach places. 923d1223348644-total-valve-maintenance-10.jpg Last edited by Pure Excess Industries : 10-07-2008 at 12:29 PM. |

| Re: Total Valve Maintenance v2 I do the same with the power tube. 924d1223348695-total-valve-maintenance-11.jpg I then rinse with clean water and dry all parts. Here is everything nice and clean. 925d1223348774-total-valve-maintenance-12.jpg Time to Pure Lube everything. I first get the first washer and lube the part that the oring rests on. Not too much, just a light coat. 926d1223348896-total-valve-maintenance-13.jpg I attach the oring to it and lube that as well. 927d1223348975-total-valve-maintenance-14.jpg using an allen wrench as a guide, I insert it into the valve oring facing down. 928d1223349057-total-valve-maintenance-15.jpg Last edited by Pure Excess Industries : 10-07-2008 at 12:33 PM. |

| Re: Total Valve Maintenance v2 Now its time to put a light coat of lube on the valve stem seal.I then reinsert it into the valve. 929d1223349126-total-valve-maintenance-16.jpg Light coat of lube on the spring. reinsert it back into the valve. 930d1223349213-total-valve-maintenance-17.jpg Now its time to put the washer in. Put a light coat of lube on the top end. 931d1223349362-total-valve-maintenance-18.jpg Put a light coat of lube on the oring, then insert that aswell. 932d1223349423-total-valve-maintenance-19.jpg Lube and reinsert the outer valve oring. 933d1223349474-total-valve-maintenance-20.jpg Last edited by Pure Excess Industries : 10-07-2008 at 12:36 PM. |

| Re: Total Valve Maintenance v2 Now you have your valve cleaned, Lubed, and ready to cause havoc. 934d1223349577-total-valve-maintenance-21.jpg I also apply a thin coat of lube to the outside of the valve to help with putting it back in. 935d1223349646-total-valve-maintenance-22.jpg Line up the valve with the power tube, and push it in. 936d1223349727-total-valve-maintenance-23.jpg and there it is. all done. 937d1223349792-total-valve-maintenance-24.jpg Last edited by Pure Excess Industries : 10-07-2008 at 12:39 PM. |

| Re: Total Valve Maintenance v2 Why are you doing this? What are you trying to clean as you soak the parts? If you oil your ASA as recommended, enough oil should disperse to keep you marker running like any air tool. .02 JSB

| Re: Total Valve Maintenance v2 Quote:
Because multiple people have requested how to maintain their valve. What are you trying to clean as you soak the parts? Parts are soaked for a few seconds as I clean the rest of the parts. Helps loosen the old lube. If you oil your ASA as recommended, enough oil should disperse to keep you marker running like any air tool. I do not use nor do I like using oil. Too much blow out, and nothing out there preforms to my standards. If oil works for you by all means continue to use it. .02 |

| Re: Total Valve Maintenance v2 good job ![]() i must recommend to clean your valve out, every other game (even though it won't hurt if you don't )one time, i installed a r/t in my friend's gun, it worked flawlessly after the game we cleaned our markers and threw them in the closet next time we played my buddy's marker was leaking through the valve i opened it up and found what it looks likes to be dried locitite from the r/t installation.....my bad we had to get a new valve from tippmann if i cleaned the valve before after playing, this problem probably wouldn't have happened great tutorial |
