Re: Initiated!

Im the type that cant own something until I break it down and research everything about it. lol
So, I didnt know anyone that really knew a lot about paintball, other than my cousin who introduced me into the hobby.
I didnt have money to spend on it for a while, which in turn gave me the opportunity to study what I wanted to go with for my first marker.
I was going to go with the A5 at first, as thats what I had been borrowing from my cousin at the time.
Then I wanted something different, and thought I would go with the Long bow Ion.
I then realized the potential of the ion's modularity, and decided no one sold what I wanted for a marker.
Once I bought the ion, it stayed in stock form for about 10 minutes after bringing it home, and within a month or so had turned in to my first paintball marker, first mod, and my first one-off custom. The SL9.

My cousin posing with it for a pre finished shoot.

The final style I stayed with before selling it to a friend.

Re: Initiated!

I had my friend show me the first time he helped me disassemble the marker. Bt since then, it has only come out once, so it isn't really an issue for me. I do know how to fix it though. Easiest is with a flathead screwdriver.

Re: Initiated!

Ive taken my A5 apart about 5 times since I've had it, and I have yet to understand that quote. Like others, I'm pretty meticulous about where and how things were when I took it apart. The only thing that got me the first time I took it apart was that ball latch...I saw that and was like, "What the heck is this and where did it come from??"

Hey Devlin - do you not understand the quote because it seems so obvious to you or are you unclear on what it specifically refers to?

Ball latch got me too. I'm not as meticulous as the rest of you and not mechanically inclined either. My newfound A5 passion, however, has done wonders for me in both regards.
