| Re: Marker Oil Good stuff above, but I have some to add: 1. I use either marker oil, or "air gun" oil" If it works in a pellet rifle, it will work in a marker ( a BIG pellet gun!) 2. You shouldn't need to oil befor everygame. Just once per day of play. befor you start. I also oil after play to keep it all nice for storage. 3. Be carefull - to much oil is worse than not enought. Espically important when rebuilding.. |

| Re: Marker Oil What I meant by everygame was events - not minigames, so we are on the same page. True - too much is a problem. I did forget to mention that. When I rebuild i do a general wipedown to get rid of the excess oil. Thanks! |

| Re: Marker Oil Good advice though I do have one area That in My experience I disagree with. I have used Gun oil on My A5 since I obtained it and Its worked great. Since the A5 comes with warranty for a year if the oil wasnt good for the gun they would not put this in the owners manual.."We recommend using a premium gun oil (Hoppes #9 gun oil) to maintain your marker in good working condition." Thats what I have used and never had any build up. |

| Ok got a couple of questions on this my A5 came with lubriplate pb gun oil do I use this to oil the marker before a game as stated above and where do I oil it in the asa and what is the asa any help here thanks!!!!!!

| Re: Marker Oil The ASA is the Air Source Adapter - essentially, it's where you put your tank. 1 or 2 drops there should be good. Remember the golden rule of oiling - not enough sucks, and too much sucks. Gold Cup is my local paintball store, so I'm lucky enough to be able to buy that stuff by the truckload. Quote:
This is one thing I've never understood. What is Hoppe's #9 gun oil? I know Hoppe's makes oil (and I use it), but Hoppe's #9 is a solvent designed to break down gunpowder residue in a firearm. It is certainly NOT a lubricant. |

| Re: Marker Oil I think they mean Hoppes gun oil. I've seen different packaging on Hoppes products, some with #9, some without. What Tippman includes with their markers in the little blisterpack is made by Lubriplate and is nothing but food grade fortified mineral oil. It is so safe you can eat it. Order it from Paintball Pat in a 4oz bottle that will last you FOREVER. He buys in bulk and re-packages the oil, and he was actually recommended by they guys at Tippman tech support. It's about $9 if I remember, and a heck of lot better deal than the $3 blister pack. Here's the link, just call or email him and he'll fix you up. http://www.paintballpat.com/index.htm
