98c vs A-5 O-ring kit

Hi!

I was looking through my local Sports Authority when I discovered they had all their 98c o-ring kits at clearance price. It was about $3 for a kit. I was looking for a description of what was in each kit, but the best I could find was a picture of the contents of each kit. It looks like the A-5 uses all the o-rings in the 98c kit. The A-5 kit has one additional o-ring...a thick, translucent one...it's the second one on the top row in this pic:

Am I right in assuming that 98c rings will fit the A-5? Also, where does the thick, translucent one go?

Thanks!

Re: 98c vs A-5 O-ring kit

I was just on Tippmannparts and I think I got the anwser to all my questions. It looks like the 98c and A-5 use the same o-rings (i.e. same part numbers). The thick o-ring is the valve/tombstone o-ring...part #02-72.

You are correct - it's a real pain if you lose that one, though, as your marker will leak badly without it.

I had a leak that was driving me crazy, I couldn't find where it was coming from. I changed all the o-rings except for that one that I had missed and it was still leaking. The air leak finally stopped when I changed that one o-ring, good thing I had the A-5 o-ring kit.

Yeah Hwyman, sorry, that's the one I was talking about, the internal valve o-ring.
