Re: regulator

You can install a stabilzer which you can regulate the outgoing pressure on. What kind of regulator are you talking about?

Re: regulator

Theres a Palmers Stabalizer which is the same thing as a regulator. It works with HPA and Co2.

Stabilizers : Palmers Pursuit Shop!, Where Custom Still Means Something

Then there is the AKA 2-LITER regulator. Works only with HPA but outputs at a lower psi.

AKA Paintball

Re: regulator

Well if you are going HPA then you don't need to worry about it as there is already one installed.

true enough, but the A5 will operate at a very low pressure; further regulating your HPA will also increase your efficiency and control your FPS by keeping air turbulence by spike pressure to a minimum.

You are also adding more pieces to the puzzle and we all know the more pieces the better chance for failure. Running a second regulator decreases your refresh rate so with good comes the bad. I have 5 A-5s and I only run a stabilizer on one because CO2 is all I run through it and the others are all HPA. To me it isn't worth spending another $100 bucks to stretch 30 more shots out of a HPA tank and slowing my refresh rate. Just my opinion.

Re: regulator

i agree with firebird so long as you're ROF is mechanically controlled. however, if you are using just a stock mechanical grip, the stab or a 2-liter should refresh fast enough to keep up with those lower ROFs.

also, the consistency of your operating pressure without inline regulation will be dependent on the quality of your tank's regulator. i would guess that just as there are inline regs out there that perform better and faster than others, so too would there be a performance variance between tank-mounted regs.

Re: regulator

I own a 2-liter, and on the info sheet that came with it, it says, " Gas Source: Compressed air, Nitrogen or C02"
