Question LPK Expansion Chamber? Help:

I'm thinking of having a Low Press Reg or Stabilizer coming straight off my 850PSI Tank and reducing it down to use the LPK on my A5. The air flow will be 850psi from the Tank - then through the Low Pressure Stabilizer (around 400PSI.) - then through the remote line and now here's the question.

I know the A5 needs the expansion chamber for the LPK to work properly or at less mine has.

Will the remote line act as enough of an expansion chamber and allow me to hook it into the tombstone and work as the Tippmann's LPK does or does it still need the Tippmann's LPK expansion chamber?

If the remote line will work fine, why? If it doesn't what would you suggest?

If I mount the LPK expansion chamber to a weaver mount with a short tube going to the tombstone will that work good as well?

I'm trying to make my marker as lean and slim as possible and still use the standerd Tippmann's LPK.

Play safe and have fun,
Omnicool

Re: LPK Expansion Chamber? Help:

the part you are refering to as an expansion chamber isnt an expansion chamber .its a volumizer .you cannnot run a LPK with out it running out of the tombstone. oneof the reasons why i dont run a LPK is because of the grip style volumizer that you have to use . the only alternative is to get an 90 degree adapter that will have teh volumizer face towards the front .

Re: LPK Expansion Chamber? Help:

The LPK Volumizer will indeed function as an exchamber... no liquid will make it through it without becoming a gas first.

The LP system is reliant on this piece... you cannot run low pressure without it because there want be enough air at the read to recock the bolt. You may get one shot per socond and uncontrollable autofire beyond that. It will not function riht at all... tried it.

I understand what you are trying to do though...(That volumizer is ugly as sin) Are you against having a rifle style grip? I have seen a 90 mount from on the PPS site you could use to horizontally mount the Volumizer and hide it in a modded rifle grip.

(The part below into the tombstone...

Re: LPK Expansion Chamber? Help:

DJ thunder from the old A5OG used to make a mod for the LPK-he runs www.springerpaintball.com (although it looks like he is going out of business). Try emailing him, he mentioned before he can mod the kit even if you did not buy it from him.

Re: LPK Expansion Chamber? Help:

If I use the LPK Volumizer can I run the remote line straight into it as long as I have the right adaptor? Remenber I'm going to have the stabilizer before the remote line.

I like that. I'm think that's what I'm going to have to go with. What type of Stabilizer is it? Model and PSI, 0 to what?

Palmers Inline Stabilizer, adjustable 0-800 psi: https://www.palmer-pursuit.com/ecom/...d8529d08bb5b0c

Keep in mind that what you see hooked to the tombstone is a modified volumizer.
