Regulator Question

OK heres a dumb question, If it is described as a "Low pressure" regulator does your gun have to have a low pressure kit to use it.

Or can I just put this on my gun and go play?

Re: Regulator Question

you should be fine i would think. as long as you keep your marker input pressure at or above 600 psi or so, you should be fine.

Re: Regulator Question

as long as the output of the reg is above 600psi you should be good. it doesnt really matter if its called low or high pressure...the pressure rating is the important information. if you polish your internals really good and do other mods you can decrease the pressure even lower but then that just takes a lot of tinkering with.

Re: Regulator Question

there is a difference between low and high pressure regulators.
A low pressure regulator is not made to take a 800 psi input, they are made to take roughly a 450 psi input and regulate that. If you use a low pressure regulator with a high pressure input, it will wear faster which means failures and increased maintainance. Also low pressure regulators are not set up to out put 600+ psi even though it may be possible, it will again, cause increased wear and malfunctions. Basically, its a good rule of thumb to spend the extra cash on the initial buy and get what you need rather than go for the cheaper buy and have to replace parts, or possibly the whole system.

Re: Regulator Question

output range and max input is what i look into when i shop for regs...always research before buying a big modification like a regulator.
