New A5/X7 Valve vs. Old

So there has been a lot of topics on limited velocity and the inability to get the velocity high enough. There are all these recommendations about getting a new valve from Tippmann because they had a "bad" batch.

So, suffering from the same problem, I called Tippmann, and in standard excellent customer service they sent me a new valve. What's interesting is the difference between my existing valve and the new one. The service rep. told me they made changes to increase the amount of airflow through it and I thought I'd show everyone what the changes are.

The changes definitely look like they will change the performance. And no, I haven't installed it or had the chance to try it yet.

Got mine today too. Things seem smoother but I won't really be able to tell until I get it across a chrono.

And ditto on the excellent customer service!

Re: New A5/X7 Valve vs. Old

im confused....this is the x7 valve you are putting in your A5's why? because the velocity is too low?

If anything my velocity is way way too high most of the time...

Re: New A5/X7 Valve vs. Old

Will this by any chance allow me to lower the operating pressure for my gun? I got a Stabilizer, so I can screw it down some more if this works. Or should I just stick with my old valve?...
