I know this sounds really noobish but i took my gun apart for the first time about a week ago and then shot it to make sure it was fine. i just wanted to know what would happen if an O-ring was left out and what exactly do they do.

it would leak like a mother, fail to re-cock and just plani suck.

o-rings are used to seal up the pnumatics of the marker much like gaskets between mating surfaces. Unlike gaskets o-rings can be used in moving parts such as your front and rear bolts. Leaving out an o-ring will more than likely cause a leak in your marker. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys im glad i know theres nothing wrong with my gun now although my brothers BT4 Combat had gas coming out of where the gas line meets the frame of the gun. i guess i will have to look at his gun.

I don't mean to hi-jack this thread but it is a thread about o-ring questions. So here goes.

Out of all the o-rings in the A-5, how many of them uses the same size as the tank o-rings?

Also what kind of o-rings are best. Would UltraSlip o-rings work great on the internals?
